Since joining United Carriers from its inception as Customer Service & Operations Leader, Kellie has been instrumental in shaping the branch’s operational processes and service delivery standards.

He oversees timely and compliant customs processing, working closely with team members—including customs compiler Kane Clifford, who specialises in Quarantine clearance—to deliver accurate and efficient outcomes for clients. Ken’s expertise spans free trade agreements, anti-dumping measures, and tariff concession orders, supported by strong communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a Master’s degree in Logistics Management.

Jim Burkett serves as the General Manager – Projects at United Carriers, bringing more than two decades of specialised expertise across global transport, logistics, procurement, and supply chain operations. Beginning his career straight out of high school, Jim has gained extensive experience through roles in ports, bulk shipping, container carriers, crane operations, shipbroking, and consultancy. Holding a post-graduate qualification in Maritime Business and Logistics Management and other specialised training and experience (including Cranes, Break bulk, Projects, etc). This is complemented by commercial, legal, tenders and insurance training and exposure. Jim has executed complex logistics projects throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific, Europe, the United States, and the Middle East with extensive travel. His background includes senior executive leadership as the former Regional General Manager for Project Logistics across Asia Pacific, South Asia, and Oceania for a US based multinational.

In his role at United Carriers, Jim oversees the management of highly technical freight movements, particularly cargo that exceeds standard container dimensions across land, air, sea environments. His expertise spans heavy lift, oversized/over mass, breakbulk, roll-on-roll-off, flat racks, open tops, freight types involving packaging, handling, stowage, storage, and end-to-end national and international project delivery usually from the factory floor to the end user. Driven by a passion for solving complex logistics challenges and ensuring freight continues to work efficiently for clients. Jim is known for his strategic planning, strong industry knowledge, vast relationships, and ability to deliver consistent results combined with proactive communication and visibility. Farookh is a Senior Sales Executive at United Carriers, bringing more than 20 years of experience in revenue growth, business development, and strategic sales within the logistics and transportation industry. With extensive expertise across both sides of the Tasman, Syed specialises in ocean and air freight, supply chain solutions, key account management, and commercial growth strategies. Nilima works collaboratively with every operational area—including Transport, Exports, Imports, Customs, Quarantine, and Sales—to deliver seamless end-to-end support. Kim Benjamin serves as Finance & Credit Control for United Carriers, overseeing the full scope of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. With responsibility for maintaining accurate financial data, managing the AR ledger, reconciling AP, and ensuring creditors are paid within agreed terms, Kim works closely with both the Branch Manager and Director to support the company’s operational and financial efficiency. Her strong reconciliation capabilities, structured approach to debt management, and commitment to precision underpin her contribution to the organisation’s financial stability.

With 25 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry and a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Kim brings extensive knowledge across a wide range of accounting functions. She is highly proficient in United Carriers internal systems and actively contributes to process improvements that enhance team efficiency and service delivery. He serves as the Driver to the Managing Director & Executive team, overseeing all daily transport requirements and coordinating travel across internal and external business commitments. He remains aware of the Managing Director’s priorities, provides practical support to the executive team, and assists with business affairs as needed. Alongside his primary responsibilities, he contributes to general office operations by sourcing essential supplies, organising tasks, and supporting staff, while also providing hands-on assistance within the warehouse to maintain consistent and efficient operational flow. His professional background spans more than a decade across customer-facing and operational environments, including twelve years with Bunnings —four of which were in receiving, working directly with incoming freight and goods handling—and eight years in customer service. He has also worked with the Australian Limousine Registry as a driver for major events, developing strong reliability, discretion, and capability in time-sensitive settings.

He is driven by a disciplined, present, and attentive approach to his work, placing emphasis on responsibility, clear focus, and an understanding of others’ needs. With strong listening skills and a practical mindset, he is motivated by the opportunity to assist people and solve problems across diverse daily situations. With a degree in International Cargo Transportation and over eight years of experience spanning overseas sales, customer service, and operations, she is skilled in managing full-container, LCL, and special cargo shipments, and is knowledgeable in customs declaration, booking, and trucking coordination.

With over 15 years of extensive experience in international air & sea logistics, ground operation coordination, and cross-border customs management, he is committed to promoting operational process optimization and service standardization, ensuring efficient and reliable cargo handling and customer service. Benjamin’s extensive professional foundation stems from his career beginnings in customs brokerage in 2013 and is supported by formal qualifications in Customs Broking and Law, Tariff Classification, and Customs Valuation and Origin Preference. His international experience includes two years in the United States between 2022 and 2024, during which he completed the CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) certification through the NCBFAA.
